Huhtamaki has been awarded three WorldStars in the Food category for its flexible packaging solutions by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
The WorldStar competition is a distinguished international packaging award, which illustrates continual advancement in packaging design and technology.

Product: Lamineo
Lamineo is a new material, which uses extrusion rather than adhesive in its lamination, which reduces the amount of PE by up to 20% without any loss of performance or rigidity. It can be used on any current form fill seal machine, without any need for modification or any loss of production speed. Lamineo provides a great solution for e.g. coffee packaging and nutrition pouches.
Product: Kinder Schoko Bons Twist Wrap
This twist-wrap is a surface printed monolayer film with registered cold seal on the reverse side, offering requisite moisture barrier with minimal material thickness. The monolayer twist wrap is recyclable and includes an ultra-high barrier metalized film that is sealed and twisted for maximized protection. The wrap is equipped with a special strip and tear notch to enable easy opening and clean handling.
Product: Haldiram’s Kesar Laddoo Pack
This is a novel packaging concept in the Indian sweets segment offering source reduction, improved shelf-display and product protection. Its flexible format offers consumer convenience and encourages gifting.
This standup pouch with an inner tray breaks clutter in the sweets segment, conventionally dominated by similar looking rigid packaging. It offers conveniences of light-weight, ease of opening and handling. High-fat content laddoos stay protected in premium embossed foil wraps that additionally lend a premium appeal.
